課程概述 |
1. 本課程適合初級以上程度的學習者，也就是至少學習完《實用視聽華語1》，能掌握1000個以上中文詞彙量，或是在臺灣中文學習總時數達到240-360小時 (或在其他國家地區達480-720小時) 的學生，或已通過臺灣TOCFL華語文能力測驗基礎級或HSK漢語水平考試第4級的學生。
This course is designed for the Intermediate in Chinese Language. You should have a working vocabulary of about 1000 words, plus a solid understanding of grammar. You should have already taken approximately 240-360 hours of studying Chinese in Taiwan or 480-720 hours in other countries or passed the band A of TOCFL or HSK 4.
2. 本課程所使用的教材為《實用視聽華語2》（第8課～第13課）
The textbooks used in this course is “Practical Audio- Visual Chinese II” (the third version), Lesson 8 ~ Lesson 13.
3. 本課程授課語言以中文為主，英文為輔。
This course will be conducted mainly in Chinese. English will be used only when referring to basic grammar principles and relevant key points.

The four skills to be reinforced with stress still on speaking and listening.
2. 能夠閱讀短文。
Development of facility in reading narrative.
3. 了解華人社會之相關文化 。
You should have a better understanding of Chinese culture and society.

課程要求 |
1. 課程參與：學生應準時出席每一堂課，且課前準備好課程內容。Class Participation
Students are expected to attend all regularly scheduled classes and activities. Further, students should come prepared to participate fully and be prepared to demonstrate concepts presented in assigned reading. Students should be on time for all classes.
2. 學生應準時上課，遲到早退或上課不專心將影響成績。病假或特殊情形，例如：喪假，得以准假。第三次無故缺席將扣總成績的 2%。遲到或早退超過 15 分鐘將視為缺課。
Attendance on time is mandatory. Being late, leaving early or not paying attention will also affect your grade. 2% of your final grade will be deducted each time after the THIRD unexcused absence in class. Excused absences are granted for documented medical reasons and unusual circumstance such as a death in family. Missing more than 15 minutes of a class period, whether from lateness or leaving early, will count as an unexcused absence.
Attendance grade will be given based on the following rules:
2 = Coming to class on time
1 = Late for class (under 15 min)
0 = Absent
3. 功課與指定作業：老師會在課堂上交代功課,請同學準時繳交作業，作業需課前完成。除了依規定請假者得以補交作業，其餘遲交的作業將不計分。所有的考試訂正和作業需要自己完成，可以請教台灣朋友一些用法，但不可以請台灣朋友幫你訂正或完成整個作業，如果這樣做的話將會扣分。
Homework and Assignments
Homework assignments will be announced in class. Please submit your homework on time to receive full credit and note that all homework will be due in class. No credit will be given for late work unless there is an excused absence.
All tests, quizzes and homework assignments need to be done individually. Students can consult with a native speaker on uses of words, or grammatical structures, but they should not ask native speaker to proofread their entire assignment. Doing so will result in losing points or a failing grade.
Speaking assignments are audio files recorded outside of class and upload to the NTU Cool.
4. 小考：每兩課有一次小考。
Unit Tests: there is a test every 2 lessons.
5. 期中考：筆試
Mid-Course: Written Exam
The written exam will cover grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary.
6. 期末考：筆試和口試
Mid-Course: Written and Oral Exam. Oral evaluations are an individual conversation with the instructor similar to an oral proficiency interview and are conducted during the last week of classes.
上課禮儀：請勿飲食
Classroom Etiquette: No eating or chewing gum.
